About Frenzy Theatre Co
Frenzy Theatre Co is an independent organisation with a focus on creating opportunities for early career artists to create professional standard work. Established in 2020 by Artistic Director Belle Hansen and Company Artist Matilda Gibbs, the company has worked with hundreds of emerging artists this year through developments, residency programs, workshops and show seasons.

Whilst studying together at the Victorian College of the Arts, our first collaborative effort resulted in Potty Pachanga, a verbatim site-specific piece about obscured public toilet etiquette. We both confronted the social politics of the work with the same chaotic and ridiculous angle. When all was said and done, we thought it would be a shame to let the craziness end there. So, then in came Frenzy.
Over the past two years we have brought four large ensemble works to the stage including MOTHERLOD_^E (Theatre Works, Main Stage 2023), The World According to Dinosaurs (Platform Arts Geelong, The Engine Room Bendigo & La Mama Courthouse Carlton 2023), The Roof is Caving In (La Mama Courthouse 2024) & PIPER (Theatre Works, Main Stage 2024). We are also developing a brand new Australian musical and are preped to announce our shows for 2025. Read more about them on our Upcoming Works, Past Works and In Development pages.

Frenzy's work is pop culture-based, and grounded in its commitment to dynamic physical theatre, ensemble devising and maximalism. To us, more is more!
